HELLO and welcome to the Ann Evans website

Welcome to my website, I hope you enjoy browsing the pages and finding out about my books and about me too. You can't beat a good thriller with lots of mystery, suspense and action, and that just what I've tried to create with my stories.

Checkout my books page to get an insight into the stories along with some snippets of the action, plus information as to how to get hold of a copy if you can't find what you're looking for on the bookshelves or in your library.

I love hearing from readers, and I'm always happy to answer questions. Take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions page, but if your question isn't there, just email me.

One of the best things about writing children's books is visiting schools and talking to young readers. So if your school or organisation would like an author visit, direct your teacher to the relevant page on my website, and hopefully we'll get a school visit booked.

Recently I've been busy running creative writing classes in Coventry and Nuneaton. In August I'll be in beautiful Dorset running courses specifically on writing for children. The venue is a lovely privately owned country cottage, so if the weather is fine we will be enjoying the sunshine as we work together.

The courses run from Friday to Sunday, and from Monday to Wednesday on specific dates during August and September. Places are limited to just six people per course and the fee is £250 which includes refreshments and lunch. For full details and information about booking, please go to the News page.

Watch out for an organisation called CARM - Children's Author's Roadshow Midlands of which I'm a member. As a group we're able to work together to organise events to promote children's literature. Members are: David Calcutt, Susan Price, Karen King, Leila Rasheed, Linda Chapman Pippa Goodhart and myself.
